F.A.Q.

Q: What should the video be about?
A: It can be about anything. Here are some ideas:

  • Make a lot of different recipes, and review them. Tell us the most and least favorite. Tell us what was easy or hard.
  • Make a video showing clips of you making it and how it turned out.
  • Make a video of your family reviewing the recipe.
  • Make a video showing some tips or tell some things that you would do differently.
  • Make the recipe twice: one exactly as printed, and the other with some changes ( more or less of an ingredient, or swap out one ingredient for another, or even add a little extra seasoning)

Q: Can I make a video with my friends?
A: Yes! We encourage you to cook and create a video with your friends!

Q: If I make a video with my friends, and our video is chosen at random, will we all win a magazine subscription?
A; No, group entries will win an extra book check out -or- librarian for the day, your choice.   Only family entries can win a magazine subscription.

Q: Why does it have to be a recipe from a library book? Can't I use my own favorite recipe to share?
A: By using a recipe from our Franklin LRC library book, it encourages other people to check out the book. You might even want to check out the book again too!

Q: Is there a limit to how many recipes we make?
A: No, make as many or as few recipes as you would like! We would love to see your thoughts on them all.

Q: Do the recipes need to be healthy?
A: Nope. Use as much chocolate, butter, and sugar as you would like. The Heathy Living Recipe Contest is in the Spring. There is a reason we are doing this contest around the holidays!

Q: Am I supposed to bring the food to school?
A: Nope, Please enjoy your food at home.
